I book and completely prepare you for your LGV driving test - your test is typically on the 5th day of your driver course
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency LGV driving test is comprised of:
You will be asked to demonstrate or explain five different safety checks relating to the vehicle that you are taking your test in.
This takes place in a controlled environment at the Driving Test Station. You are required to reverse your vehicle in a restricted space under full control, with good observations and reasonable accuracy over a prescribed route.
You will be asked to drive the vehicle on a route of the examiners choice. The route may take in town centres, country roads and even a trip on the Motorway. You will be expected to drive the vehicle safely, legally and under full control at all times in a fashion relative to the road and traffic conditions at that actual time. You will have to show good awareness of the actions of other road users who might not understand the handling characteristics of a Large Goods Vehicle. For ten minutes of your test, you will be required to complete an "Independent drive" by following the signs and road markings for a particular destination.
